I’m Beatrice Kennedy, but everyone calls me Beat. I live a low-key life, fresh out of college and drifting from town to town until I find my home.
I love music, and how it stirs even the deepest and untouched parts of your soul. Depending on what you choose to listen to, would depend on what it touches. It’s the drug we all damper in, only different strains. My strain is Jazz. The smooth instrumental strums that take over me. The sound of cigar smoke, bourbon and an old dusty fedora hat. My strain wasn’t rap, and it sure wasn’t laced with some A-class shit like murky blue eyes casted down from the Lord and the Devil’s handcrafted smile. I knew who he was—the whole world did. One fateful night set off a chain of events, events that no one was coming back from. You can’t save people who don’t want to be saved. You can’t pull them up from the ocean when they’ve latched themselves to an anchor. Love was my anchor, destruction was the water that was drowning me, and the rope that was so tightly clamped around my ankles, was woven with the lyrics of Aeron Romanov-Reed, also known as, 'Manik. He steals hearts from all around the world, but one night, he stole something that wasn’t his to steal.
Me.

I was thrilled about Amo’s new book called MANIK. This book crowned my year 2018; Amo you're the queen.
Exciting, sensual and crazy, I'm completely under the influence of it. It's a real masterpiece.

I recommend to everybody who loves brutal, frank, dark and wild stories.  If you're not like this, just try it out. But do not forget, I warned you.

The story itself was written in changing perspectives, which can be traceable throughout. This makes it easy to read. You are captivated by the events and the next thing you know, you're reading the last page. The only reaction, which is expected: I want more! It seems that there's an invisible weight on your chest, it's like you’re actually there and you would experience it all over. This is Amo’s style, which let you fly to a totally different world and don’t let you go until you're completely yourself. The titles of each chapter are songs that I recommend listening to, because it makes easier for you relax your mind, and you get really into the story. What is more, the graphics at the beginning of the chapters are wonderful, congratulations to the designer. She did an incredible work.

Aeron 'Manik' Romanov-Reed and Beatrice 'Beat' Kennedy are the two protagonists. The pages are completely filled with their emotions. The battle of the darkness and the light. There’s a little darkness and light in all of them. They are tempting, but which one wins in the end? BOTH!

Beat is an interesting, free-spirited, brave and incredibly rational character. Even though he is innocent, he’s attracted to darkness as moths are to light. This darkness is nothing but Manik. He is a real asshole, sexy and hot but cruel and bloodthirsty. He is not the knight in shining armor, he won’t save you from the monster, he is downright the MONSTER. Yet he had enmeshed my heart irretrievably and irrevocably. How could have this happened? If you are his, there is no turning back. Straight way to ecstasy, uncertainty and the world of danger.

You may be cruel or insensitive, there's somebody in this vast world who loves you for who you really are. Maybe the only thing missing from his light is you.

I find it so interesting the path that they went along and what they've become. Beat's life would probably have been different if everything had revealed at the beginning. Aaron makes me wonder; a person who has more personality and who identifies with them depending on the situation. MANIK is a rough rapper; Zver is with whom you welcome nowhere even in your worst nightmares, and Aaron is the person you give your heart without question.

I can’t even imagine what it feels like to be born into a mafia family, but for sure, you need to follow high expectations. If you try to get off, it is equal to death. Or am I wrong?

There are also some supporting characters, but the most beloved is Katiya. She is a real free spirit. It’s admirable the way she balances between the two worlds.
Needless to say, Aaron & Beat is my favorite character.

Desperately, uncertainly in an unknown place. How would you react? For you, inexplicable feelings begin to enmesh your heart. Would you give yourself to him? Would you fight against him? Does it make a sense to you?

There are many things that would change everything; there are secrets that ruin your world. There are questionable choices, extremely strong feelings, and endless series of battles. But everybody will fight their own war. After all, victory is sweeter than anything else.

Hatalmas izgalommal vártam Amo Jones újabb könyvét ami a 'MANIK címet kapta.

Maga a történet váltott szemszögben játszódik, ami végig követhető. Ezáltal olvasni is könnyű. Plusz a fejezetek elején megtalálható grafikák csodálatosak, gratulálok a tervezőnek. Hihetetlen munkát végzett.

Aeron 'Manik' Romanov-Reed és Beatrice 'Beat' Kennedy a két főszereplő. Érzéseik teljesen átitatják a lapokat.

Rengeteg mindent megváltoztató, a világodat romokba döntő titok.
