First of all, I would like to thank Everglow, the blogger of the Chronicles of a Bookshelf calling my attention to this masterpiece. I'm eternally grateful.
The story can be read from Sophie's point of view, who was abducted on the day she moved to her new home. At the beginning we meet with some retrospect, but just until we find out how she got there and what horrible things she had endured. Speaking of horrible things, the genre of the book is dark romance, thriller and romance. Among our domestic publishers, I would/can categorize it to the „Könyvmolyképző Rázós” category. The main theme of the book is the slave trade and (paid) secret missions for assassins. All men were invited for different reasons, and they are just the top in their fields. Why is this important? Because Sophie's brother, Garrett, is one of these men, as well just as her savior, Creed. /I'll tell you about them later./
The writer leaves us for a long time in the dark, but I wouldn't call that a negative rather than a boost. Based on this book, I can tell you that we can read mere masterpiece from her in the future. She has a unique style that capture you and don't let you go. From the first page to the last she maintains the curiosity, but I felt a break in the middle of the book where my interest declined a bit. But all the same I'm glad to have read it because I have another favorite.
Sophie is a very spirited, but sometimes a violent woman. However, I admired that she wants to live in the light after so many dark things. She was tough, she didn't fall into a deep depression; at first she was careful, of course everyone would behave in this way. In return, she receives Creed's heart, body and soul.
Well, yes, Creed is a hit man, a mafia child, a man from whom every normal person should run away (screaming). But Sophie can see right through him, and Creed too. Anyway, I fell in love with Creed for the first time like Sophie, and I wouldn't have run to him too.
Unfortunately, everywhere there is a chink in the armor; a person you would never imagine being able to betray you. I always say, the very affable people are the most dangerous until proven otherwise.
Are you interested in how to get from hell to heaven? Can you imagine when your body and soul must be pain at the same time? Could you be/stay strong? But the main question is whether there would be a bit of light in you despite the darkness? Are you able to love him unconditionally despite all his faults?
Mistrust, pain, struggle with your heart and mind.

A történetet Sophie szemszögéből olvashatjuk, akit elraboltak új otthonába való beköltözése napján. Az elején találkozunk néhány visszatekintéssel, de csak addig amíg megtudjuk hogyan került oda és milyen szörnyűségeket kellett átvészelnie. Ha már a szörnyűségeknél tartunk, a könyv műfajában dark romance, thriller és romantikus. Hazai kiadóink közül legjobban a Könyvmolyképző Rázós kategóriájába tudnám besorolni. Legfőbb témája a rabszolgakereskedelem és a fizetett - titkos küldetések általában bérgyilkosoknak. Mindegyik férfi más- és más okból kapott meghívást és ők is csupán szakmájuk legjobbjai. De hogy miért is fontos ez? Mert Sophie bátyja Garrett is ezen férfiak közé tartozik, csakúgy mint megmentője Creed. /róluk később/
Az írónő nagyon sokáig tart minket a sötétben, de ezt nem nevezném negatívumnak inkább hatásfokozásnak. E könyv alapján is meg tudom állapítani hogy csupa remekművet olvashatunk tőle a jövőben. Van az az egyedi stílusa ami megfog és nem ereszt amíg ki nem sajtolt belőled mindent. Az első oldaltól az utolsóig fenntartja a kíváncsiságot, ugyan a könyv közepénél éreztem egy törést ahol egy kicsit visszaesett az érdeklődésem. Ennek ellenére örülök hogy elolvastam, mert egy újabb kedvenccel gyarapodtam.
Sophie-t egy rendkívül talpraesett, ámde néha már-már erőszakos nőnek ismertem meg. Azonban csodáltam is hogy ennyi sötét dolog után ő még mindig a fényben akart élni. Nem hagyta el magát, nem esett depresszióba, kezdetben óvatos volt, persze mindenki így viselkedne. Kitartásáért cserébe megkapja Creed szívét, testét és lelkét.
Nos igen Creed, egy hitman, egy maffia gyermek, egy férfi akitől minden normális embernek sikítva kellene elfutnia. Ámde Sophie átlát az álarcon, Creed pedig a nő lelkének legmélyén túlra is. Akárhogyan is nézzük Sophie-val együtt én is elsőre beleszerettem Creed-be és bizony én sem rohantam volna észveszejtve.
Sajnos azonban mindenhol van egy rés a pajzson, egy ember akiről soha nem képzelnéd hogy képes lenne elárulni. Mindig azt mondom a nagyon nyájas emberek a legveszélyesebbek, amíg nem bizonyítják be az ellenkezőjét.
Érdekel hogyan juthatsz el a pokolból a mennyig? Hogyan fájhat egyszerre tested és lelked? Vajon erős tudnál maradni? De a legfőbb kérdés, vajon a sötétség ellenére is maradna benned egy cseppnyi fény? Vajon összes hibája ellenére is tudnád feltétel nélkül szeretni?
Bizalmatlanság, fájdalom, küzdelem a szíveddel és az eszeddel.
