Fawn Bailey's Gilded Cage series has proven me, than she is capable of creating such amazing and incredibly hot characters. This has been leveled up in her book, Dark Castle. I'm really courious for her next book this episode as has set me high requierments.
First of all, it is a must for you to read the prequel because from that we get to know the basics' of Dark Castle. Without foundation you can't build a story.
The story is told from parallel points of view trought two the eyes of the main characters: Oliver and Amber. Oliver is a prince about to be married, Amber is an ordinairy non-aristocrate girl. I have always had a feeling that this book wouldn' t be like the strory of Cindarella.
Amber is in a race for the love of the prince whit twelve other women. Why? Because this is a tradition. From the beginning it is evidente for the readers who the winner of the competition is going to be. It is hard for me to imagine that the other competitores can't realise this. It is not the competition that makes things tangeld it only intensifies the tone of the story. Although the detision of Oliver is evidentual he keeps Amber guessing trought out the whole story. Desire and desperation is in the air. Amber secretly llikes the half-brother of the prince as well. This two play with the girl like how a cat tortures a mouse. The rules has changed as the royal brothers had found their favourite toy and they want to keep it. The revange is sweeter than anything else on Earth but on whom and why? If you want to know the answer to these questions you will need to read the book.
An invitation, a night and everything changes. The secret is revealed. We get to a crossroad. The question is either our body or our heart should choose.
I recommende this book from the deepest of my heart to every one who likes the dark romance as this book is hot, sexy and is an emotionale roller coaster.

Fawn Bailey Gilded Cage sorozatával bebizonyította számomra hogy észvesztő, sötét és hihetetlenül forró karaktereket tud alkotni amit Dark Castle könyvében a végtelenségig fokozott. Kíváncsi leszek a következő részekre, mert ezzel a lehető legmagasabbra tette a mércét.
Először is mindenképpen ajánlatos elolvasni az előzménynovellát, mivel abból ismerhetjük meg a Dark Castle alapjait. Ha nincs alap nincs mire építkezni.
Magát a történetet váltott szemszögben olvashatjuk és igenis elhiszem hogy ilyen létezhet a világon. Bár lehet hogy az én valóságalapommal van a baj, de az már az én problémám ;) A történet főszereplői Olivier és Amber. Előbbi egy megházasodás előtt álló herceg, utóbbi pedig egy hétköznapi átlagos, rang nélküli nő. Valahogy éreztem hogy ez bizony nem egy Hamupipőke történet és igazam is lett. Amber-nek 12 másik nővel kell versenyeznie Olivier szívéért. Miért?! Mert a hagyományok megkívánják! Egyébként totális badarságnak tartottam mikor az olvasók úgyis tudja kit választ, csupán a 12 lány él totális vakságban. De nem is a verseny okozza a bonyodalmat az csupán fokozza a hangulatot. Baromi jól kitalálta az írónő. Amber egész végig bizonytalan, pedig Olivier döntése végleges. Vágy és kétségbeesés sistereg a levegőben. Amber titkon vágyik egy másik férfira, a herceg féltestvérére is. Ezek ketten úgy játszanak a lány érzékeivel mint más a hárfán. A játékszabályok megváltoznak, a gazdag férfiak megtalálták kedvenc játékszerüket és meg akarják tartani. A bosszú pedig mindennél édesebb. De miért és kin kell bosszút állni? Nem tőlem tudjátok meg, úgyhogy hajrá!
Egy meghívó, egy éjszaka és minden megváltozik. A titokra fény derül. Válaszút előtt állunk. A testünk vagy az eszünk hozza meg a döntést.
