Author Spotlight Week with Isabella Starling | Day 2 | Interview

2020. november 10., kedd

Hey Lovelies!

Do you want to know why Isabella become a writer or why she choose to write dark, twisted and forbidden stories? Than you have to read this interview with her ;)

1. Why did you become a writer?

I’ve always known I would be a writer. It’s my passion and I was determined to turn it into my job!

2. Does your family support your career as a writer?

Yes, they’re very supportive. My Dad is my #1 fan even though I don’t let him read any of my books, haha! And my mom is a big reader and got me into books.

3. Why did you choose to write dirty, dark, twisted and forbidden stories?

It’s where my heart is. I love the stories because they’re fantasies. And there are no limits in dreams.

4. What is your favourite male and/or female character of your books?

My favorite males are Parker (Nox) from Sicko Stalker and King from Pet. And Bebe from Peep Show is my favorite female character.

5. What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?

Probably coming to terms with the dark side of romance. It was a challenge to accept it.

6. Do you prefer to write stand-alone or series?

I love both! Standalones for emotional impact, series for characters you never want to leave.

7. Can you please share the hardest part about being a writer and how you overcame it?

The hardest part for me is dealing with criticism. I’m still in the process of overcoming it. I try not to spend time on Goodreads, haha.

8. Can you please share a writing memory that made you determined to carry on?

It was in first grade of elementary school and the first essay I wrote, my teacher told me I was destined to be a writer. That’s when I knew!

9. What is the most important thing about a book in your opinion?

That it makes you feel something.

10. If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?

Never stop writing. Tell your stories. Don’t be ashamed.

11. What other authors are you friends with, and how do they help you become a better writer?

Jade West is my best author buddy! She’s always a great sounding board for ideas and just a lovely person all around. It’s amazing I get to be friends with my role model.

12. What are your plans for the future? (In life, and in writing, of course.)

I have so many things planned! I will hopefully release a book a month in 2021 and I am also hoping to start a thriller pen name.

13. What’s your favourite social media and why? Share your link.

I absolutely adore my group on Facebook! We have so much fun in there.
