I came to L.A. with dreams bigger than me. 

To learn from the best choreographers in the business and secure a professional dance gig working for Hollywood’s elite.

Everything was going according to plan—until I was literally shoved into the arms of the one man who could make or break my career. 

Come to find out, it wasn’t my career I had to worry about. 

It was my heart. 

Theo

Everything about Alexandra “Lex” Quinn screamed amateur, save for the way she moved across the dance floor. 

She was athleticism and grace, precision and passion, and she had a stage presence I couldn’t tear my eyes from. 

I wanted her...on my team, in my bed. 

There was only one problem...

I couldn’t have both.

In the story, the central role was played in the dance. We can see two protagonists: Theo and Lex. I am hooked on K.K. Allen's style,she is the master of words. Enviable as the writer tell the story, it completely captures the reader. The inserted choreographies and clips make the story completely lifelike.
Female protagonist Lex has grown to my heart. She is a kind, innocent, understanding girl with lack of self-confidence, but she is keeping her. Dance is at the heart of her life. Unfortunately he does not have the right support background for her parents. But her best friend Shane encourages her not to give up her dreams. I loved her (although I think she could have a bit more role in the story if we talk about the best friend.)
They move to LA and then go to a casting to a high-class dance school, Gravity. Here comes our male hawk Theodore Noska who is a famous choreographer. At first he looks like a real asshole, but later we can gain insight into his armor. Unfortunately, life is never as easy as it seems to be the first. So or so, but everyone has to fight for their dreams. Still, there are some people who do not want to go through the unnecessary circles that come with it. I absolutely agree with them, why can not we do something to enjoy it ?!

Their relationship does not begin to drift, but the attraction is undeniable between them. I liked that they could talk almost everything to each other. At the same time you can feel that something happens in the background.

Our protagonists have to dismantle a lot of walls and have to deal with unnecessary difficulties. But they are worth the fight.

Many people may not understand that the dance is also a way of self-expression and relaxation. You leave the comfort zone while dancing. At the moment there is nothing else just you and the music. The outside world is gone. This is an incredible experience.

Throughout the story, I liked three characters, Lex, Theo, Shane.

I did not like Amy Reggie or Winter either. Amy seemed so mannered, I always expected when she stabs in the back. From Raggie, it was clear which team he belongs, because he is a violent and envious person. From Winter: I did not like  and did'nt hate her. I did'nt understand her. 

My favorite scenes were Lex and Theo's rehearsal scenes when they danced with full empathy.

What would you do if you could find true love? What would you choose?  What risk do you assume? How long are you going to go to?

A történet váltott szemszögben játszódik, központi szerepet pedig a tánc kapta. Két főszereplőt ismerhetünk meg Theo és Lex személyében. Imádom K.K. Allen stílusát, mestere a szavaknak.  Irigylésre méltóan fogalmaz, az olvasó teljes szívvel átéli történeteit. A beleszőtt koreográfiák és klipek teljesen élethűvé teszik a sztorit.

Női főszereplőnk Lex nagyon a szívemhez nőtt, kedves, ártatlan, megértő, kicsit önbizalomhiányos, de van tartása. Élete középpontjában a tánc áll, bár sajnos szülei által nem rendelkezik a megfelelő támogató háttérrel. Ámde legjobb barátja Shane biztatja hogy ne adja fel álmait. Imádtam őt, (bár szerintem kaphatott volna kicsit több szerepet, ha már legjobb barátról beszélünk.) LA-be költöznek, majd meghallgatásra mennek a Gravity-be, ami egy színvonalas tánciskola. Itt lép be férfi főszeplőnk Theodore Noska a híres koreográfus, elsőre egy igazi beképzelt seggfejnek látszik, de későbbiekben betekintést nyerhetünk páncélja mögé. Sajnos az élet soha nem olyan egyszerű mint az elsőre látszik. Így- vagy úgy, de mindenkinek meg kell küzdenie az álmaiért. Ugyan vannak akik elérték azokat, de a vele járó felesleges köröket nem akarják. Abszolút egyetértek velük, miért nem lehet valamit úgy csinálni hogy élvezzük is?! 

Kapcsolatuk nem kezdődik felhőtlenül, ám a vonzalom tagadhatatlan kettejük között. Tetszett hogy nagyrészt mindent meg tudtak beszélni. Ám érezhető hogy a háttérben valami történik. 

Főszereplőinknek rengeteg falat kell lebontani és töménytelen mennyiségű akadályon kell átverekedniük magukat. De mindenképpen megéri.

Lehet hogy sokan nem értik, de a tánc is egyfajta önkifejezés, kikapcsolódás. Kilépsz a komfortzónádból. Ott és abban a pillanatban nincs más. Megszűnik a külvilág, csak te vagy, a zene, és a világ amelyet elképzelsz. Hihetetlen élmény.

Az egész történetben három szereplőt tudtam megkedvelni, Lex, Theo, Shane. 

Nem szerettem Amy-t Reggie-t és Wintert sem. Amy olyan mesterkéltnek tűnt, mindig azt vártam mikor támad hátba. Raggie-ről egyértelmű volt hogy melyik csapatba tartozik, erőszakos és irigy személyiség. Winter pedig amolyan, se nem szeretem se nem utálom. Inkább nem értettem őt. 

Lex és Theo próbatermi jelenetei voltak a kedvenceim. Teljes átéléssel táncoltak.
