  With love comes pain. And with pain comes scars. Believe me, I have had my share of it all. After my mother’s death, my father couldn’t deal. So once again, we’re moving. To a town full of lies, darkness, and corruption. All masked in sunshine and money. But then I meet him… My biggest mistake. My biggest temptation. A royal pain-in-the-ass. And Darrian King is no prince. He’s controlling, aggressive, and downright wrong for me. But what he dishes out, I give right back. After all, love hurts. And so do we. 

 

 

Today I’m bringing you the writer’s first book, she’s none other than A.M. Brooks. I could not imagine a better debut for her. If she continues to do this in the future, she will achieve major success. What is certain is that I will read her books and recommend to you. Her style is absolutely unique, captivating, freaky, but in a good way. The story can be read in the present time, the plot was built gradually; her characters’ personality developed first, and then declined. I don’t describe this as a problem; it was good.

Our main character is Nora, a new girl in Aramint. His mother was addicted to drugs, which caused her death. She is kind, she stands up for herself, but is easily influenced. Her character is a perfect example of the things that we do for love. Darrian is playing her like the pianist with the keys. He always knows what he has to do or say to lure her back. I wanted to shake her; wake up !!!! But NO, she did not give up then; that's what made her character so unique.
Speaking of which, Darrian King is an entitled asshole, the king of the school. I found a bit absurd that how impressionable people are. But if you want to stay in the hierarchy, you have to follow the instructions. I can imagine that this can happen; I don't like it, but it could happen. I should hate him but I don't know. I'd like to slap and then hug him.
Through his character, we can come to know that nobody's life is perfect. Your parents' expectations are high and the choices aren't often yours. You should do everything as they say "that is an order.", but nobody cares what you want. To relax (which doesn't run itself), you go for prohibited things. But can you give them up? If you don't want to be rescued, you lost. In what ways might others help you? 

What would you do to protect your family? Will you walk through people who love you? Will you live up to the expectations, or are you on your own?

If you want a story full of twists and turns, emotions, despair, don't hesitate. This book drives you crazy. Ma egy új írónő első könyvét hozom el nektek, aki nem más mint A.M. Brooks. Ennél tökéletesebb debütációt el sem tudnék képzelni számára. Ha a jövőben is így folytatja hatalmas sikereket fog elérni. Ami biztos, hogy én olvasni fogom könyveit és nektek is ajánlom. Stílusa teljesen egyedi, magával ragadó, kiakasztó, a jó értelemben. A történetet jelen időben olvashatuk, cselekményét fokozatosan építette fel, karaktereinek jelleme fejlődött, aztán visszaesett. Ezt nem problémaként írom le, így volt jó.

Főszereplőnk Nora, új lány Aramintában. Édesanyja a drogok rabja volt, ez okozta halálát is. Kedves, kiáll magáért, de könnyen befolyásolható. Karaktere tökéletes iskolapéldája annak hogy a szerelemért mennyi mindent vagyunk képesek megtenni. Darrian, úgy játszik vele mint zongoraművész a billentyűkkel. Mindig tudja mit kell tennie, mondania ahhoz hogy visszacsalogassa magához. Legszívesebben megráztam volna, ébredj már fel!!!! De NEM, ő akkor sem adta fel, talán ettől lett karaktere annyira egyedi.

Ha már itt tartunk Darrian King, egy címeres seggfej, az iskola királya. Egy kicsit abszurdnak tartottam, hogy az emberek tényleg ennyire befolyásolhatóak legyenek, de ha a hierarchia tagja akarsz maradni, az utasítások követése kötelező. El tudom képzelni hogy ilyen megtörténhet, nem tetszik, de előfordulhat. Utálnom kellene de nem tudom. Felpofoznám majd megölelném.

Karaktere által megismerhetjük, hogy bizony a módosabb embereknek sem tökéletes az életük. A szüleid által felállított elvárások magasak, és gyakran a döntés sem a te kezedben van. Mindent úgy kellene csinálnod ahogy azt "parancsba" adják, de az hogy te mit akarsz a kutyát sem érdekel. Ahhoz hogy ellazulj, mivel az már magadtól nem megy, tiltott dolgokhoz nyúlsz. De vajon képes vagy feladni azokat? Ha te nem akarod hogy megmentsenek, vesztettél. Más mégis hogyan segíthetne így? 

Mire lennél képes a családod védelmében? Átgázolnál azokon akiket szeretsz? Továbbra is megakarsz felelni az elvárásoknak, vagy végre a saját utadra lépsz?

Ha egy csavarokkal, érzelmekkel, kétségbeeséssel teli történetet szeretnél, ne habozz ez a könyv garantáltan elcsavarja a fejed. Napok múlva is rá fogsz gondolni!

 

  AM Brooks is an author with a variety of stories; Contemporary Romance, New Adult, and mature YA  Her writing style is suspenseful and sometimes leads to heart-wrenching conclusions. With a background in forensic psychology she really goes for those investigative, dark and twisty feels. And of course, lots of love! Brooks enjoys reading as much as writing. Television shows such as Criminal Minds, Scandal, and One Tree Hill are her go-to binge worthy series. She loves spending time with her friends and family with a good glass of beer or wine. If she isn’t reading or writing, Brooks is Pinteresting future home projects for her wonderful husband to accomplish.
